Basu county Tibet, On the way of my second time visiting Glacier Laigu, Lake Ranwu is not as green as it was in May, but of more geniality, as if she remembered me too.

Ranwu Village lies by the lake, in the bosom of the valley.

Again we got stuck at this little bridge simply made of tree trunks. Two Tibeten people were helping us.

We are on a real glacier! People in picture were Sue and Zhu, I was always the one taking photos for others... ...

Just going through the summer, the ice was not strong. We need to get through some of the ice block very soon or it would not be able to hold the weight. For the sake of safety, I dont recommend to go onto the lake in summer and autumn.

Laigu is a general designation of 6 glaciers. the adjacent two glaciers have their flank moraine joined together thus form the dark part of the wave.
The photo was shot from Laigu village, yes people here see this scense everyday.

The other side of the village

Attracted by the red national flag, we found a little school. It is a primary school of about thirty to fourty students from the village. Besides the flag everything is humble.

Not too many visitors here, people were curious.

Not sure wheather it was because of us, all of the kids were reading excitedly. Hope they would do the same when we left, and their puerility will not be changed.

One of my favourite photos, can be a good poster for the Hope Project( a project by government, giving education to the kids in remote and poor areas)

Our lovely teachers Bacuo and Lazhen, they both graduate from teacher's collage, we felt so delight for that. The school has become one of the "eliminating illiterate site" set by government for two years, we guess that is why they have real teachers here.Before that the only teacher of the school is the village head.

Kids were excited to have photos taken. They were everywhere runing up and down the hill at this 4000 meters height...

Life here is hard, but people are kind and kids are happy. The young teachers told us that the kids had the most need of reading materials, they need to extend their eyereach and open their mind.

All of us may help them a little, here are something they need best (not have to be new but shoule be clean):
        Stationery;
        Books（Science, story... whatever good to kids）;
        Clothes for winter.
